Training
I have been training gundogs for over 30 years as a hobby, squeezing it in between running companies and fatherhood. My training methods are built on a Positive Response Behaviour Method with a good amount of success - I have made up 3 FtCh, winning over 25 field trials and scores of tests with dogs of both sexes.
I have recently retired and decided to concentrate my energy on helping others train their gundogs to achieve maximum success.
When I set out on my gundog journey I found it difficult to obtain the information required to progress, only getting bits of information in dribs and drabs and being told “you’ll work it out”.
I have always been of the belief that if you want to compete with the best you will need to be trained by them.
I have a proven established structured method that will build you and your dog’s confidence and knowledge from beginner though to winning tests and trials.

Puppy Training
1-2-1 training sessions
for puppies 8 weeks onwards
I pride myself in helping you train your puppy, to deliver a high standard of obedience either for gundog work or as a well-mannered pet.
Remote training
Access to video training seminars
for puppies 8 weeks onwards
I will supply you with weekly videos to follow, homework sheets to guide you, as well as live WhatsApp appraisals.
Board a puppy
Limited space
for minimum of 6 weeks
Your dog will live with my own dogs and trained with them to achieve your requirement, for a period of 3, 6 or 12 months.
Further Training
Progressing your dog to an advanced level enabling you to compete and win working tests and field trails.
Group training
Training for working tests and field trials with groups of between 6/8 for advanced training, these days can include tuition or arranged for your own group without tuition. There will be varying types of ground available including set aside wildflowers and stubble turnips.
Live game training
Available during the shooting season, subject to availability their will be opportunities for novice handles as well as experienced handlers wishing to improve their dogs.
